was a chill night. jamie and i planned to head out to santa cruz tomorrow morning so we took it easy and watched yes man with fabian and some popeyes. the movie wasn’t bad, it was actually pretty funny.

started semi early, got kinda discouraged by the crappy weather but we headed out anyway to santa cruz and the boardwalk. we’re troopers like that.

it higher in elevation and greener the closer we got. the air felt a little nicer too. hehe. aahhhh, slightly less poluted air. breath it in, it goes down slightly smoother…

finally make it to the boardwalk. even though it was gloomy we were still gonna have some good times.

nothing to eat yet and it was coming on noon, so we had to get our grub on. it’s a boardwalks, so of course we were gonna munch on some corn dogs and garlic fries… mmmmmm….

saw this by the table where we ate. cool to read up on the surf culture/history out here. look how long those boards are! some of the earlier boards weighed 60-90 lbs!!

i guess its what you’d expect from a normal boardwalk. old school rides, carnival games and good/bad food.

this carousel had some of the creepiest music ever…

jamie couldnt get over how cute she thought these little whales were and how she wanted a picture of them. we had to wait til the kids got off the ride so we, more i, wouldn’t look like a prevert. yes PREvert.

you almost forget that the beach is right there. especially with the fog all low and in the way…

despite the gloom, you can still see and feel the good ol’ fashioned fun times…

the other side of the boardwalk from where we started, and where the rides were, was the casino/arcade games area, the area where tourists buy dumb stuff and…

this creepy ass robot…

i guess these used to be put in front of amusement parks to attract folks. no. opposite, it is evil…well i guess it does attract folks seeing as how jamie and i fell for it and got close to inspect this creepy machinery. anyway, if you click here you can somewhat hear it laugh and see it move. not good times.

jamie and i also saw what is possibly the best mullet on a kid since joe dirt. am i jealous? hell yeah! that shit is killer! he even had a brother with the same mullet, i couldn’t get a photo tho.

patience paid off. eventually the sun started peeking out from behind the fog and clouds…yodel!

we got changed up and hit the beach… did a little bit of laying out, wave jumping and getting injured… hahaha, look at my broke ass feet.

after chilling and doing nothing but chilling on the beach for like 3 hours, we did one more walk around on the boardwalk searching for funnel cake…

jamie wouldnt go with me on either of these rides…boo…

when we found out the funnel cake place was closed down, we called “FAIL!” on santa cruz boardwalk and took off. i couldnt take it and i died on the wharf near by…

the entire time while were chilling on the beach, i SWEAR i heard seals. this was later confirmed, there was a bunch of them chilling on the side of the pier. click here to watch some video

dinner time by now and we decided to hit up riva for some grub. here was the cool ocean view we had from our seat. you can see the surfers going after some crazy waves. this was probably the best part of the restaurant…

the clam chowder was ok i guess…

but the rest of it was blah. clam strips that we coulda got from long john silver, and probably enjoyed more, and scallops with a rice pilaf that was just plain… bland. ah well. live and learn.

we had to wash it down with a good mocha at least so we hit up marini’s at the end of the pier. the bonus points go to the piece of fudge they put on top of the cup. how awesome is that?! then we just called it a day, stopped by the great mall in milipitas real quick and then headed home.

THERE’S A BUFFALO WILD WINGS OUT HERE!!!!! FINALLY! a decent wings joint! we set out on the journey to dublin just to get some decent wings for football fun day! the place was MAD crowded cause of all the football games going on, so we just took it to go… the car ride home was a bit torturous.

am i gonna give a run down of what we got? FUCK YEAH!!! we had some medium wings…

some spicy garlic…

some caribbean jerk…

and some buffalo chips with some nacho cheese and jalapenooooosss. yyyoooddeelll. heart stopping good foods!!!

unfortunately the wings and hanging out with jamie were the only highlights of football fun day. the chicago bears played horribly. jay cutler FOUR, YES FOUR, interceptions. forte got like 55 yards. tisa, urlacher, clark are injured. fuck. FUCK!!!! to the packers of all teams!? great and now urlacher is OUT FOR THE SEASON!!! FUCK!!!!!!! i dont wanna talk about it anymore…

wow. some more fucking heat from jugrnaut. these guys took a long enough break to come back and kill it. same design, different colorway. you comic nerds will get a kick outta this colorway named after one of my favorite xmen “gambit”. black overall fitted, grey front panel with a aqua/magenta logo, jugrnaut in aqua in the back and a magenta underbrim. this fitted here is a definite winner.

if you cant guess why this here fitted is called the “jay bird” well then… i dont know what to say. done up in the old school blue jays (click here to see) colorway. royal blue crown with a white front, aqua and red logo with the on field green on the underbrim. good attention to details fellas.

now aqua is my shit. here is the “aqua out” from jugrnaut. i dig it. everything is aqua except for the underbrim done up in red. not really much more to say. there’s just something missing to make it real dope but its still a nice fitted either way.

quintin is set to drop something only for japan release. their “flight” thunder and lightning 5 panels to go with the matching jordans. black and yellow suede with black mesh over suede. nice stuff fellas.

now you may say you saw this exact same colorway from vault on the “paper chasers” fitted designed by benny gold… well you’d be right. the thing they did change up was the dome of this fitted is outfitted in black suede this time around. nice little twist up. really wish they at least tried a different colorway at least. ah well, still good

yeah. never fans of the superhero fitteds that new era puts out. not a SUPER huge fan of this either but i do really dig the red and blue buffalo plaid together. the fact that it was thrown on this superman fitted kinda kills it tho. ah well. blue buffalo dome, red buffalo brim with the superman chest logo on front and text logo on back.

elm company teamed up with val surf to put out a fitted for LA in the dodgers colors. “LA” with a skateboard is stitched in the front, val surf logo stitched across the back with the white eyelets and button are fresh. plain and simple and if i lived in LA, i’d probably rock it.

vinnie’s styles outta brooklyn dropped another “paulie’s” fitted. this time around with a black crown and “paulie’s” spelled out in teal on the front, white “P” on the back with a couple nice white accents here and there. clean stuff. not bad.

been waiting for these “truth” fitteds to drop from king stampede for a minute and on first impression they look pretty good. i like the thick corduroy and the front graphic is just ridiculous to me. i really dig it. looks like its available in navy and a dark olive colorway right now at boundless. good stuff i’d like to rock.

i remember being really excited about the “sound system” fitted from king stampede when i saw it in the previews way back when…but now that i see it, im not sure if im diggin it too much. the chilly willy graphic over a sound system is cool but nothing to flip over. somethings lacks, im just not sur what.

not the best looking but decent. as simple a this is, i think this is a cool/differnt attempt from zoo york. all white fitted with a big bold black “ZY”. that’s some clean shit. not bad.

couple hanshin tigers, aka the hard luck hanshins customs available @ cap collector. some great colorways here. the ever staple black/white and black/gold. to the solid olive/white and brown/white. the the different but still nice and solid duck canvas and tweed to yellow black. lots a of great colorways to choose from. thickly stitched “HT” logo on the front with “tigers” embroidered on the back. nice work.

got this from strictly fittedsfitteds. how can i not give love to mitchell and ness for doing a bulls fitted to commemorate michael jordan for his induction into the hall of fame. will only be sold at the nba store in nyc and is limited to 600 pieces. done up in home and away. the white fitted being done up in jersey material with the logo on the side laid out like how they are on bulls shorts. good shit.
