arghe! i dont know what it is, i just cant fully get myself to just focus on painting right now. i have so much catching up to do too. maybe thats its. when i have a lot on my plate, instead of getting to work my brain shuts down. then snaps and goes loco when its crunch time… argh. hopefully, i can kick my ass into gear soon…

it was right by the hawaiian joint Wiki Wiki Hawaiian that jamie and i hit up for dinner one day. i was crazy and tried the BBQ chicken this time. hehe, it seems like whatever you get from them is just good no matter what. mmmmMMMMMmmmmm.

really? either some hardcore fanboy/fangirl didnt like the fact that i wasn’t drooling and passing out from crying at the date farmers last show @ fifty24sf or the date farmers hate me. dont get me wrong, i dug the show but i think i overhyped myself for it. anyway, i hope its the first option and not the latter cause if it’s the latter, thats kinda sad.

RIP to patrick swayze. watched point break again on monday as a tribute. heh. i liked how he stayed outta hollywood drama and kept it classy. seemed like a good dude.

way to man up and apologize. i still got love for Kanye West. here he is on leno’s new show. i think he’s sincere. he seems to be an honest and blunt dude. hopefully, he can take a break and get his head clear. check out the clip here

gotta say. im really diggin the new KiD CuDi album “man on the moon: end of day”. head bangers like “make her say” featuring Kanye West and common to slower-personal tracks like “soundtrack 2 my life” and guests like MGMT and ratatat show the range on this album. great cover too. go cop it, its worth the buy.

so i have been painting. i promise! here’s the progress on a piece im working on for 1:AM gallery for their “dia de los muertos” show. it’ll eventually be a woman chilling in some water with some skulls floating around her. there’s still a ton of work to do…

i usually have mixed feelings about takashi murakami‘s work. i either really dig it or really dont. i really dig this piece here. this is “tan tan bo puking”. regardless of what i think, the detail in his work is always ridiculous. anyway, check out more work from his solo show “self portraits” here @ Galerie Emmanuel Perrotin.

well great. another reason to be sad. new erik otto work at shooting gallery in SF along with kevin e. taylor and its sick. erik otto‘s shape, composition and drip work is just great. i dont know much about kevin e. taylor but the pieces i see on the online gallery are pretty cool. surreal scenes in muted down bright colors. word. thanks. self-esteem down. cruise on over there while its still up…

continuing with more nergo league fitteds, stall & dean does a kansas city monarchs fitted. front graphic is cool, colorway is pretty cool as well and of course the stall & dean signature to finish off the back

some ok fitteds from oakley too. nothing crazy. just some tonal jobs done up in red, black and white. maybe i cant get with it cause i dont like the logo. average stuff.

a little crazy for my taste but here’s a new fitted from applebum thats set to drop in december. got the info from strictly fittedsfitteds. the inspiration comes from “High rise apartments called “Mansions” in Ninhongo litter the Tokyo skyline”

not a full on preview but here’s a peek at what IM king has set to drop in the fall. these fitteds look very promising but it may be too early to tell. “IK” done up collegiately on the front, some small graphic on the back and some nice colorways. i like how the black/red outlines the “IK” in white and how the teal/grey leaves the “IK” all teal. im excited about’em

rebel 8. taking the fitted game by storm. constantly good stuff. here are the “oilskin” fitteds. apparently they’re made from imported oiled cotton from the UK. they’re also waterproof (and get better with time), lined with a lightweight tartan flannel and though its not visible from the pics they have metallic gold embroidery back. finally a nice fitted to rock in the rain. comes in dark green/black and dark grey/black colorways.

another fitted from bbc/ice cream. nothing crazy but the front type treatment is still pretty cool. red/white colroway is a staple for lots and the yellow inside the “C”‘s is a nice accent. not bad.

better shot of the “adam bomb outline” fitted from the hundreds that i posted a week or so ago. same thing teal/lime green colorway, this time the button is uncovered and its red. gooooooooood shit. i like the little things like that.

i still cant decide whether i hate, dislike or dont mind this paisley fitted from new era. i kinda like the red but the black annoys me. they look like a couch from an old pub to me. i dont know. average-ok at best i guess…

pppssshhh. you thought leaders 1354 was gonna give you a break for the rest of the summer. a couples weeks is nice i guess but now they’re back with a new logo. here’s a preview of the “wishbone” logo. nice, clean and simple new design. it’s set to drop on the 24th of september and will come in 4 different colorways. this one looks sorta like a mariners colorway. start saving that mowing money.

i dont care how old this ctrl fitted is, seeing as how its on sale, but i like it. old news? screw you! i didnt see it! bastardo! anyway, this is the “bull in the heather” fitted from #ctrl outta finland. black leather fitted, with blue eyelets, a red button and the same shade of blue/red make a zubaz-esque print on the brim. haha. nice, id rock it

another fitted from ctrl called the “getty”. this fitted comes in all orange with a black underbrim with “get in there” stitched in and a big bold “C” on the front panels. nice lean work

this is the “O.D.I.” from ctrl featuring the same big bold “C” from the previous fitted but laid out on shiny darker silver leather. looks buttery. i feel like i have to get it on the mere fact that “odi” is a nickname im called here and there also. good shit in my book sir.

these fitteds here are the “popeye” from ctrl. simple tonal colorways in black and red with “ctrl” done up in a simple thick embroidered script. not bad

nice preview of a ctrl x ben g collab. sorta looks like black and red suede with white stitching on the front panel graphic. looks soft. hopefully more pics to come soon…

ok, i know that skate and surf companies wanna step their fitted game up but this is getting ridiculous. now billabong is even doing better fitteds. really??? this is the “revive”. it comes in three fabrics all together… bonded fleece, yarn dye plaid and yarn dye flannel with a nicely stitched graphic on the front. this is set to drop with their holiday 09 line. they look soft too.

crooks & castles has been flooding the market with fitteds lately. not all necessarily awesome either. these “CSTC/can’t stop the crooks” fitteds are pretty cool tho. comes in purple or black with a white embroidered “CSTC” on the front and back.

vault is back with the “safe cracker” fitteds designed by benny gold this time in a black/red/white and what looks like a lakers colorway. i always think this graphic is always real nice, just not 100% on the colorways.

thrasher mag is iconic. its past iconic in the skate scene, folks know it. bout time they came out with a fitted. anyway, the front features the iconic thrasher logo with the thrasher pentagram on unstitched underbrim. this hat woulda been blah to me but i think the underbrim treatment saved it a bit.

black scale x hall of fame. these two companies are collabing with everyone and killing it, why not with each other??? as far as their collab goes, im still trying to figure out if i like the front graphic or not. im loving the back! the hall of fame building with the black scale moon is sick! im probably gonna cop these. available in teal and black.

speaking of black scale, theyre just killing it right now. everyone is on their balls right now and deservedly so. here’s a sneak peek at a fitted that im hoping releases soon cause that front graphic is ridiculous. looks like a navy blue dome with a black brim. i gotta see more pics of this.

to go along with their new cut & and sew line elm company is gonna drop this black “homerun” fitted. all black with the elm company “E” in white and im assuming the leaf and script in back. good solid shit sirs
