/// friday ///
pottsy was awesome enough to send me pics from the chicago group show @ rotofugi as it was going on. thanks dude!!! here’s depakakibo (people got us confused…RACISTS!), won yup (look at the frickin hair) and rotokirby (refer to comment made about won)

james (nice hat dude!) and sara (doesnt that smile look somewhat evil?)

and the crowd @ rotofugi. i miss their openings. they were always so much fun. =(

/// saturday ///
finally felt like i could leave the house and i wanted to after being trapped, so we headed to the city to check out the exploratorium but first we need to eat so we dropped by marnee thai and grabbed some grub. started it with some angel wings…

then some tom yum with chicken and some panang beef. good stuff.

then we dropped by lillian’s, chilled with her and mike for a bit then headed out to the exploratorium

if your kid still has an imagination and isnt rotted by video games yet, they would love this place. jamie, lillian and i had a ton of fun here, too bad we didnt know it was closing time soon…

i look frumpy as fuck…

didnt get the name of the visual artist, but this was a cool digital snow screen. you saw nothing but static but once you moved into the camera’s visual field, the “static” slowly started to gather on your form and show you doing whatever it is you’re doing. go see it, im explaining it like a moron.

FINALLY got to check out the palace of fine arts theatre, so first order of business is a dead. here are jamie and lillian dying…

then some nice shots. what a beautiful place.

then me, jamie and lillian scooped up mike and hit up the huf warehouse sale. mike was definitely one of the 2 white dudes in line. lol. good times, wish i had pics of the line.

oooOOOoooo. i like hats.

we ran into kane at the sale too! doin work and intimidating the little asian kids in line.

with it being too hot, me 2 hats deep, jamie 1 pair deep, jon 1 pair deep, lillian 2 pairs deep and mike 4 pairs deep… it was time to exit. here’s what i got. stussy x huf collabo and the “piss off” series in blue. not bad for $20 each.

on the hunt to find some coffee and i saw this cool mac window. i really like the handwriting.

and right outside the cafe we found was this near mint negrini. it was in pretty awesome condition. no pics inside the cafe, forgot i had the camera.

jamie and i ended the night with wolverine: origins. except for some corny scenes, i dug it.

/// sunday ///
look at this guy… thinking he’s gonna be stuck in all day. nope, to point isabal dog park!!!

you got an entire park dude and thats the first spot? i guess familiar is safe…

now he’s off. on a clear day i bet you can see the golden gate and sf super clearly…

lots a dogs out. it was fun times…

this dude was doing some serious digging…

even a cool little canal…

tried getting popeye to go in the water all the way…

and then this happened…

so he ran back to mom. hehe.

found another point that was a little easier for popeye, jamie and i to get into, but still no complete immersion. he even kept looking back to make sure jamie was watching him… awww.

we realized that this was probably as far as he was going and soon called it a day. point isabal is an awesome place for dogs. if you have a dog and live in the bay area, you should definitely check it out. you can also check out video of popeye attacking some waves here

jon got another dead with a whole group this time. jon, miss vivian and the hive students in DC.

nice! the cutler three 3 TDs and the chicago bears defense held down the fort at the end. take that arthur! but geeez, we’re dropping like flies. forte and hillenmeyer. lovie, think you can text derrick brooks now, please????

oh what!? what does strictly fittedsfitteds, applebum and wu-tang have in the making??? october is so close, yet so far…

september 1354. “neon dunk 95″ fitted from leaders. i was a bonehead and forgot to take pics at the exploratorium and palace of fine arts with this fitted. arghe… 09.26.09

september 1354. “gradient logo” sox colorway @ point isabal dog park in richmond. 09.27.09

september 1354. wolverines colorway @ work. 09.28.09

some more progress on the painting called “bath”…

swweeeeettt. my “mexicutioners” logo got some love on the clink room. check it out here! i hope my fitted gets picked to get made. dear higher being, please make it happen!!!

cool print from huck gee called “Sgt.Vasquez”

all nice with some logo fitteds here. i dig their logo. nice clean work. made in orange/white, green/white, navy blue/white and all black. availabilty? no se, dude.
RATING:

oh. cool. shoes. whatever. hahaha, im more into the fitted in the background from proper. black/purple/white colorway with the proper “LBC” logo on the front. i guess this is a nike x proper x new era collabo. good shit.
RATING:

another military reference from jonathan da lynn. Sea Bee is the official motto of the NAVY and It translates to “We Build; We Fight”. looks like something is going on with the underbrim, wish i could see it a bit clearer. is that seersucker?
RATING:

and again, another military reference from jonathan da lynn. “Hooah” is an Air Force term meaning (Heard, Understand, and Acknowledge). When talking in “jargon” or “lingo” only known to that specific job the term hooah is used to let them know they understand what you are saying. anyway, here is another cool snapback from jonathan da lynn. all camo crown and brim, “hooah” stitched real big in white on the front and a possible fighter jet shark graphic on the side.
RATING:

REUP! oneness287 did a reup of their suede cats. the more i look at this, the more it grows on me. khaki suede crown and brim, “CATS” stitched in royal blue real thick across the front and “oneness” in white across the back.
RATING:

if i was a yankees fan i’d be all about this… but im not, so i aint. it is still a pretty cool design. new era got at spike lee to design this and called it the “spike lee 2.0″
RATING:

i think this is a really cool logo design from the wild ones. this “T.W.O.” logo was previewed at magic and the red/black/white colorway is pretty fresh too. good work overall. gotta see the rest of the fitted to give it a higher score in my books tho.
RATING:

afterbase dropped the “illmatic bird” fitteds. made of heavy melton wool, “AB” new era-esque flag on the side and “illmatic xxx afterbase” on the back. available in either the orioles or grey/dark orange/white colorway.
RATING:

ayo! nice collab! beau monde x fashion geek. this is fashion geek‘s first new era, so its kind of a big deal. not stoked on all the colorways but the top two are killer! black/gold/white = proper. grey wool/beau monde colors = official. black/white = staple. moss/blue/orange = different. red/baby blue/ white = chicago inspired. beau monde x fashion geek stitched on the back. im giving these fitteds good scores for the first two alone.
RATING:

Kinnikuman, aka m.u.s.c.l.e. stateside, just dropped another bunch of INSANELY detailed fitteds over at onspotz
RATING:

dissizit dropped a crap load of new fitteds over at karmaloop. here are red and navy colorways of the “college” fitteds. big bold collegiate “D” with a the copyright “D” on the back. the simplicity is what makes it so great.
RATING:

also from dissizit is the “dx bones primary”. its the “D” with the crossbones all done up in a primary blue tonal job.
RATING:

the “DZT!” from dissizit features… “DZT!” stitched real big and bold on the front while resting on a black crown and brim. as with the “college” fitteds, the simplicity is what makes this piece so great as well.
RATING:

the last one from dissizit is the “sx bones” featuring the dissizit crossbones on the front but this time with an “S” and slick‘s awesome throw up on the back
RATING:

in a perfect world, the “bolts” fitted from flying coffin would be reupped in the exact same color… we dont live in a perfect world tho. and tho this “bolts” colorway is pretty cool, it just doesnt compare to the purple/silver/grey. either way, this fitted still looks pretty sick. by the way, check out the rest of the FC look book at the flying coffin site
RATING:

jason & casey at the clink room were nice enough to send me a press kit of the “tulsa drillers” fitted. it’s even better when you can see all the details put into this gorgeous fitted. ill let them tell you what’s involved…

Individually Numbered
Each cap is an individually hand numbered. Only 150 pieces are made of each Edition.

Personally Signed
The tags on every cap are personally signed by the project designers.

Cork Underbills
All cap underbills are lined The Clink Room’s signature cork fabric, imported from Italy.

Concept Phase
The caps also display the “Concept Phase” handwriting across the back of the cap, identifying the phase of the project the logo was sampled from.

Pencil Trademark

with all that attention to detail, how could you not want one??? the pencil on the ear is so so so ridiculously awesome and the cork fabric underbrim??? seriously??? folks are going to have to start stepping it up now.
RATING:

“cannon 2k10″ from don cannon & konsole kingz. i havent heard it yet but there are some new tracks from the cool kids, ludacris, bonecrusher, slim thug, wale, pac div & more. except for the frequent “THE CANNON-CANNON-CANNON” samples, it’s gotta be decent right? i hope so…

KRS-One: “Def Jam Single-Handedly Destroyed Hip Hop”. now before you get mad and jump the gun like i did, listen to his point. blastmaster actually has a good point but at the same time, is that part of the hustle?
