David Choe @ Fifty24SF Recap Part 2

Filed under: artwork, jealousy, rants, shows

The journey to find and talk to David Choe continues. Like I said earlier, it’s not like he was hard to find, he was in front hanging outside for a bit. He was just making me a nervous wreck. Hahaha. I’m a lame. Here are his famous whale on one of the walls of the gallery.

David Choe @ Fifty24SF Recap Part 1

Filed under: artwork, jealousy, rants, shows

This will be a monster post and divided into two parts. Enjoy. God, and/or whatever random higher power up there, knows I did. David Choe’s show at Fifty24SF was frickin amazing. We were lucky that the line wasn’t ultra long. I rolled there with Jamie♥, Tony, Amy, Nate, Greg and Natsumi and we were all very surprised by the short wait.

before headng out tony’s place for his house warming party, jamie, jon and i watched chaplin with robert downey jr for the first time. it was ok, some slow moving parts, but overall i kinda dug it. never knew he was exiled from the US. frickin hoover and frickin mccarthyism. i wonder how dumb they all felt when that shit was cleared and done.
