I really like when companies take a risk and do something funky with a New Era. Irie Life made this “Athletic Meet” fitted and I think they did good. Available in red, black or white with a tonal “Irie Life” on the front. The thing that makes this fitted unique from EVERYTHING out there, is the gold rope that hangs from the mid point of the crown. Like many of you who dig Benny Gold gear, I was wondering if Mr. Gold was ever going to open a brick and mortar store. To me, something about opening a physical shop grows a stronger connection to loyal locals. One of the reasons I moved to the Bay Area was because of the art and design scene. Huf was part of the design scene I dug because of their fitteds and Benny Gold was responsible for some of their best drops. So seeing him open up his own shop is awesome and inspirational as well.

Benny Gold opened his retail store over the weekend and being the bonehead I am, I missed it due to dyslexia. Wow, that would be an extremely hard word for a dyslexic person to spell. Anyway. I did get to go the next day and a “Spot Check” will definitely be coming soon. Along with the opening, the “Diamond” fitteds dropped. I gotta tell you, these here fitteds are fucking awesome. Available in red, navy blue or grey with a tonal diamond stitch all over with the paper planes of course, “BG” on the front in white and outlined in dark navy blue and a green underbrim. Hell yeah! This “Chee Hu” fitted from Fitted Hawaii is fuckin sick. This fitted is constructed of an all teal foam, with the shaka placed on the front in white stitching, as well as the crest on the back. Killer. Best of list for sure. Available Here >>
